Sunday School for Children of All Ages
This year we are excited because our children at Maximo Presbyterian Church are using the new
children’s Sunday school curriculum, Live B.I.G., which just came out this Fall. Live B.I.G. is
designed to help children ages 3-13 learn about the love of God through Jesus so they can live
their “Belief in God”.
Using a DVD component, teachers are supplied with resources that go beyond the classroom
and engage children with Christian role models and a deeper understanding of Jesus and the
impact he can have on their lives.
Through these resources teachers and children come to know and love God and Jesus so that
they can answer the question, “How can I live B.I.G.?”
Come join the fun as we learn together how we can live B.I.G. as a respose to the love of God.

Christian Education Programs
The Presbyterians are well-known for their emphasis on educational ministry.
We have a comprehensive approach towards Christian education. Besides the
Sunday School classes for children, we also host Sunday School classes for
adults. Other classes come as small group. The goal is the same, to teach and
learn from one another about the foundational principles of our faith found both
in the Bible and in the life witness of the people of God throughout history.
We have recently completed the study of the entire Gospel of Matthew.
Currently, we are focused on the study of the Gospel of Luke. We use both the
printed Bibles and the video narration of the Bible. Discussion and reflection on
scripture are very encouraged. Underpinning all these educational ministry
programs is prayer and discernment.
We strongly encourage you to consider our invitation to you to come and enrich
our discussion with your presence.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is a summer program which the church uses to host a
week-long Christian Educational activities for children from our church and the
surrounding community. The previous vacation Bible School weeks have been
widely successful and popular among children, teachers and parents.
VBS, as the program is affectionately known, consists of solid teaching from the
Bible, with children hearing the thematic Bible stories in various forms, including
through story-telling, music, arts and crafts, fun games, and other memorable
ways. This is invaluable experience for all children and adults involved.
We are grateful for the great leadership of our church members, who spent
countless hours preparing for this significant program for kids. We are also
thankful for the congregational support for these activities.
We urge you to consider bringing your children or the children of your
neighbors or relatives to experience the love of God shared in a wonderful
Christian atmosphere. This will be one of the most memorable experiences your
children will have as they encounter and discover the love of God in their lives.
